Our Story

ohiopyle_sign

Founders Fred Wright and Scott Bortree set out on a venture and never looked back. Their passion was rafting and the outdoor activities of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, which led them to the innovative idea of printing t-shirts that illustrated The Great Rafting World!

One customer order led to another and within just a few short years Ohiopyle Prints Inc. was born. Local town businesses caught on to this and requested t-shirts that supported their town name inspiring the creation of our brand, My Town Originals®. In 2007, My Town Originals® expanded to include High School Spirit Wear. Partnering with schools nationwide, the program has raised over $8 million in school donations.

Today under President and CEO, Rob Anderson, we conduct business from a 45,000 square foot warehouse that is nestled in the scenic Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania employing dedicated community members to staff our art department, production line, customer service, and sales departments. We are committed to sourcing on-trend garment styles and producing exceptional graphics to meet the needs of our customers and their ever changing markets.

We are also dedicated to being a socially, ethically and environmentally responsible company. To ensure that our beautiful land is here for years to come, one of our top priorities is to stay “green”. We actively recycle cardboard, scrap metal, electronics, batteries, and paper. In addition, we use a total chemical/water reclamation system, reducing our water usage by 1,500 gallons a day.

We would like to THANK all of our loyal customers who have supported our business. For over 40 years Ohiopyle Prints / Ohiopyle 81 has enjoyed helping retailers connect and prosper with their local towns, schools, and tourists abroad.
